That is the law in Saudi Arabia , not in other Muslim countries , They have their own interpretation.

Saudi Arabia is only a minor Muslim country regarding population ,

@ JUD , please gain some knowledge , the worlds larges Muslim country Indonesia has had a woman president.

@ ASKER Saudi Arabia is a sovereign country and free to make its own laws,

You must be a Muslim in Saudi Arabia. It's the law. In Islam, women must be under the control & permission of a man at all times. First their father, then husband; or brother or uncle. If they are in control and driving a car wherever they want. heaven forbid they could go wherever they wanted to without a man's permission. Not acceptable.
Sure, all married women in the US drive to their lovers house. Get real. Lovers can walk and meet anywhere if they choose to do that. Keeping them from driving will not stop adultery. Does it stop adultery in husbands? Oh I forgot, you're allowed to see a prostitute for 1 hour a day and it's okay. Hypocrites.

Because Women aren't considered citizens in the Islamic religion, more like pets.
